Fourth of July Celebration information

The Town’s July 4th Celebration begins on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with a celebration at Commons Park.  A dog parade, food booths, inflatable jump houses and family activities occur all day, followed by a concert at 7:00 p.m. at the Bandshell.

The Fireworks Display is scheduled to begin at about 9:30 p.m. at the Moraga Country Club.  The fireworks are also visible from the Commons Park and other areas in Town.  Moraga Way and access to the Moraga Country Club will be closed at 9:00-9:15 p.m. until after the fireworks show is completed and pedestrian traffic clears the area.

If you are traveling to watch the fireworks, you should plan to arrive early.  Expect heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area.  Drivers should consider using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion and delays.  Please drive slowly and safely.

Remember - All fireworks, regardless of type or labeling, are illegal everywhere in Contra Costa County. There are no “Safe & Sane” fireworks, regardless of labeling, they are all dangerous, uncontrollable and illegal. The potential for serious injury posed by these illegal devices and the risk of causing wildfires in high fire danger areas (such as Lamorinda) is great.

Enjoy your Independence Day celebration!!  Thank you for helping us to keep Moraga a safe community.
