Have a fun and safe Independence Day! 
With the Fourth of July just around the corner, Walnut Creek Police would like to remind everyone that all fireworks are illegal in Contra Costa County. Even fireworks deemed "Safe and Sane" are banned. County supervisors passed an ordinance last year that holds the property owner liable for damages if their use of illegal fireworks causes fire or injuries. The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District has a hotline for anyone to report illegal fireworks. The number is 833-885-2021.
