Oakland Man Arrested During Traffic Stop for Narcotics Trafficking and Possessing One Pound of Fentanyl

On June 30th, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., a Santa Rosa Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on a late model, red, Lexus IS250 on southbound Hwy 101, near the Rohnert Park Expressway. The vehicle immediately pulled over and was contacted by the officer. The driver was identified as 25-year-old Oakland resident Oscar Reynaldo Arteaga-Trejo.
During the traffic stop, an SRPD Officer with a K-9 partner arrived. Santa Rosa Police K-9 “Ace” alerted to the presence of narcotics emitting from the interior of the vehicle.  During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located approximately 1 pound of fentanyl and ¼ pound of methamphetamine. The drugs were located on the floorboard, by the driver’s feet.
Reynaldo-Trejo was transported to the Sonoma County Jail where he was booked for felony possession for sale/transportation of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
