Historically the fireworks show is a well-attended event that features heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic affecting Ward Ave., Hogback Rd. and all streets located within the Bossert Estates neighborhood. It is recommended that spectators plan to arrive early to avoid traffic delays. Further details are as follows:
No pets of any kind are allowed at this event except trained service animals. Unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or drones are also prohibited.
Bordentown Township Police will be utilizing our Nixle account to provide real-time text alerts to event attendees once they opt-in by texting BTOWN to 888777. This will allow attendees to receive alerts about general event details, safety, weather, parking and traffic.

July 2nd 2022 FIREWORKS EVENT
The annual Foundation for Bordentown Traditions Independence Day Fireworks event is scheduled for 7/2/22 from 4pm – 10pm at Joseph Lawrence Park. Event planners are monitoring tomorrow's forecast and will send out an update if the show is cancelled. July 2nd 2022 FIREWORKS EVENT
Historically the fireworks show is a well-attended event that features heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic affecting Ward Ave., Hogback Rd. and all streets located within the Bossert Estates neighborhood. It is recommended that spectators plan to arrive early to avoid traffic delays. Further details are as follows:
- The Bordentown Regional High School parking lots are designated as the general parking area for this event.
- The Peter Muschal School lot will be utilized for handicapped parking.
- Willow Rd. will be restricted to one side street parking on 7/2/22. This is necessary in order to provide sufficient space for Police/Fire/EMS vehicles in the event of an emergency.
- A temporary closure of Ward Ave. in front of the park (between Willow Rd. and Hogback Rd.) will be in effect from approximately 8pm – 10pm on 7/2/22.
