* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall on the immediate coast may be possible.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following areas, Bolivar Peninsula, Brazoria Islands, Chambers, Coastal Brazoria, Coastal Galveston, Coastal Harris, Coastal Matagorda, Galveston Island, Matagorda Islands and Southern Liberty.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM CDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The heaviest rain from a slug of tropical moisture has moved east of the area, largely ending the threat of excessive rain. One possible exception is on the immediate coast, where storms are occurring and remain possible into the afternoon. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
