Extra Enforcement Efforts June 30th, 2022.
During the last several weeks, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office has communicated with community groups and citizens regarding specific areas of concern in the San Andreas, Mokelumne Hill, and West Point areas.  On June 30th, 2022, The deputies conducted focused enforcement in the abovementioned areas.
Deputies conducted nine traffic enforcement stops, located and investigated (5) suspiciously parked vehicles, and located and spoke with (4) suspicious persons.   These contacts yielded (2) misdemeanor warrants, (1) driving without a license citation, (1) citation for crossing double lines, failure to pay registration fees, possession of controlled substance-methamphetamine (misdemeanor), possession of unlawful paraphernalia- (misdemeanor) and possession of controlled substance without a prescription (misdemeanor).
Zero-Tolerance Enforcement Update
On June 9, 2022, Nicholas Frazier was arrested for vandalizing a Rotary club sign on Main St., San Andreas. During the investigation, suspect Frazier resisted arrest and was found in possession of controlled substances, controlled substance paraphernalia, trespassing, and littering. He was arrested and transported to the Calaveras County Jail and booked. 
On June 20th, 2022, Nicholas Frazier was convicted for vandalism and resisting arrest. He was sentenced to 16 months of local prison time, ordered to pay restitution to the San Andreas Rotary Club, and is prohibited from entering Nielson Park and the property of the San Andreas Town Hall.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Calaveras County District Attorney’s Office for their diligent work and assistance regarding this investigation.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office would also like to thank the citizens who have provided information regarding criminal activity in their neighborhoods. Their cooperation has been vital to the success of the zero-tolerance and extra enforcement programs which occur throughout Calaveras County.
