INCIDENT: FATAL HIT AND RUN TRAFFIC COLLISION

VICTIM: Male Hispanic Adult (30 years old)
On Sunday, July 3, 2022 at 2:14 AM, Pomona Police responded to an injury hit and run traffic collision at Mission Blvd. and Towne Avenue. When Officers arrived on scene, they located a male adult suffering from severe injuries. Evidence at the scene suggests the male adult pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while he was crossing the street. Officers checked the area for an involved vehicle, but did not locate one.
Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived on scene and transported the pedestrian to an nearby hospital. Unfortunately, the male adult succumbed to his injuries and he was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The identity of the pedestrian is still unknown. The suspect vehicle make, model, and color are unknown at this time.
