Lighting up the sky in East Chicago to celebrate independence!
Mayor Anthony Copeland invites you to celebrate Independence Day remotely 9:30pm Sunday, July 3rd.
The City is sponsoring fireworks shows, which are designed to allow residents to enjoy fireworks from their homes.
Fireworks shows will be coordinated from Kosciuszko Park Ball Park, Central High School, EC Fire House at Michigan Ave. and Guthrie; Block Jr. High School and Carrie Gosch School. We are asking that you enjoy these fireworks shows from your yard, and not travel to these locations.
Please have a safe and enjoyable Independence Day weekend.
