INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Hesperia Road and Lemon Street, Hesperia
INVOLVED PARTY (1): 47-year-old male (Driver) resident of Hesperia
INVOLVED VEHICLE (1): 2001 Ford Ranger
SUMMARY: On Saturday, July 2, 2022, at about 10:38 p.m., deputies from the Hesperia Station and emergency personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a 2001 Ford Ranger in the area of Hesperia Road and Lemon Street, in Hesperia.
Through preliminary investigation, it is believed the Ford was traveling north on Hesperia Road, south of the intersection with Lemon Street. The Ford crossed over into the southbound lane of Hesperia Road and left the roadway. The vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest along the west roadway edge of Hesperia Road. As a result, the 47-year-old male driver of the Ford succumbed to his injuries while on scene.
Investigators from the Hesperia Station Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded and assumed the investigation. It is still under investigation whether or not drugs and/or alcohol were a factor in this crash. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is urged to contact Deputy D.
