The following is a summary of criminal activity in El Cerrito. It does not include all crimes. It also does not include non-criminal events such as missing persons, traffic collisions, non-criminal deaths, non-criminal disputes, nor many other police activities that do not result in arrest.
 
June 24^th
 
June 25^th
Warrant Arrest – Hill Street at Liberty Street;
At 8:10 pm officers were dispatched to the report that two people were inside of someone’s vehicle.  Officers arrived and found two people inside the vehicle.  One of the people was found to have a no-cite warrant for their arrest for narcotics issued by the El Cerrito Police Department.  The person was arrested, booked at ECPD, and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
 
June 26^th

Shoplift – 2000 El Cerrito Plaza (Ross);
At 7:08 pm an officer was sent to the report that someone had come into the store, selected merchandise, and left the store without paying for the merchandise. 
 
June 27^th

Stolen Vehicle – Hill Street at Liberty Street;
At 12:36 am an officer was sent to the report that the victim’s vehicle had been stolen sometime in the last ten hours.
 
June 28^th

Vehicle Burglary – 2000 block of Tapscott Avenue;
At 4:31 am while an officer was patrolling the area they discovered a vehicle that had been broken into and property had been stolen.
