UPDATE (2:06p): A tree crew has cut the tree up and removed it from the roadway. Due to the holiday, the tree debris was unable to be removed and therefore, is now coned off, taking up a portion of the eastbound curb/lane. Please use caution when driving in the area, as the lane size has been reduced.

This large tree clearly wanted its independence and decided to break free across 36th and Edison. No squirrels or birds were hurt during this act of rebellion.
It is blocking the roadway and we are working on getting a tree care service out to remove it. Please use a detour for the time being.
