Henderson County in western North Carolina... Central Polk County in western North Carolina... Southern Buncombe County in western North Carolina... Northwestern Cleveland County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 815 PM EDT.

* At 729 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 5 miles west of Downtown Asheville to 12 miles southwest of Marion to 10 miles south of Morganton, moving south at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include... South Asheville, Hendersonville, Forest City, Rutherfordton, Arden, Black Mountain, Mills River and Fletcher.
