Advisory

Severe Thunderstorm watch issued by NWS La Crosse. Severe storms may produce heavy rain, which could lead to flash flooding.

HAPPENING NOW: The threat for strong to severe storms from northern Iowa into southwest Wisconsin is increasing this evening ahead of a line of storms. With these initial storms, hazards include damaging winds, locally heavy rain, and hail. Flash flooding will also be possible in locations where storms frequent. Stay weather aware this evening!


Severe storms are likely heading into the evening, generally south of Interstate 90. Main threats will be damaging winds, heavy rainfall with localized flooding, and hail.

It will be hot and steamy through the evening with heat indices likely topping 100 for much of northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin. 

Localized flooding could occur with any severe storm.  Be aware of heavy rainfall with these storms, and be prepared to take the necessary actions to protect life and property if you live in a flood prone area of the County.
