MEDIA RELEASE: Highland Park, IL Shooting 
Since the evening of July 4th, 2022, the Middleton Police Department has been in close contact with the FBI regarding the Highland Park shooting. The FBI has shared relevant information with our agency as it related to the suspect’s activities in our city, but our department is not involved in the investigation into this shooting.
Any inquiries into this incident can be directed to the lead investigating agency which is the Lake County Illinois Major Crimes Task Force.
