On July 07, 2022 (Thursday) at approximately 5:00 AM, personnel from Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to a motor vehicle collision on Pearblossom Highway at the intersection with 37^th Street East (which is within the incorporated area of the City of Palmdale).
 
The preliminary facts of this investigation indicate a male 31 years old was driving a 2021 Kawasaki Ninja. The Kawasaki was driving west in the #1 lane of Pearblossom Highway and collided into a 2018 Chevrolet Volt that was stopped in the number one lane of Pearblossom Highway for a solid red light. The driver of the Kawasaki was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the #1 eastbound lane of Pearblossom Highway where he was struck by a 2004 Nissan Frontier driving east in the #1 lane of Pearblossom highway. As a result of the collision, the 31 year old male was pronounced deceased at the scene. Anyone with information regarding the collision is encouraged to call Palmdale Station’s Traffic Department at 661-272-2400. The investigation is ongoing.
 
Pearblossom Highway was closed to routine traffic between 25^th Street East and 40^th Street East until approximately 11:30 AM while this incident was being investigated.
