Golf cart thief arrested. 
On 07/12/2022, Sheriff's Office Investigators recovered the stolen golf cart off of Oakland Road.
On 07/13/2022, Michael Hunter Planto Stroupe,a new arrival from Gaston County was identified as being the subject in the photographs from the larceny and arrested at 1030 Oakland Road, in Forest City.
Stroupe was charged with Breaking and entering a Place of Worship, Felony Larceny, Misdemeanor Larceny, and (2) counts of Resisting Public Officer.
Stroupe is in Custody at the Rutherford County Detention Center and is being held under a $40,000.00 Secured bond.
