LRS / Prairieland Refuse & Yard Waste Sticker Buyback Program: 8/1/22 through 9/30/22 
The Refuse, Recycling, and Yard Waste Contract between the City of McHenry and Lakeshore Recycling Systems (formerly Prairieland Disposal) concludes on July 31, 2022.
LRS / Prairieland Disposal will refund any purchased and unused refuse and yard waste stickers. The refuse and yard waste sticker buyback program will begin on Monday, August 1, 2022, and will conclude on Friday, September 30, 2022. Sticker returns and refunds will solely take place at the City of McHenry’s Municipal Center located at 333 S. Green Street, McHenry, Illinois, 60050, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and noon, Monday through Friday. In order to receive a refund, all unused stickers must be returned in person by September 30, 2022. Effective Monday, August 1, 2022, the City of McHenry’s new Refuse, Recycling, and Yard Waste Contract begins with Flood Brothers Disposal. Single-family residences and attached multi-family residences that do not exceed four units within the City limits will receive additional information regarding the transition via mail in the upcoming week.
