INCIDENT: PC 243(C)(2) - Battery on a Police Officer and PC 602(O)(1) - Trespassing Private Property
LOCATION: 800 Block of BSNF Road, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Pedro Pena, 44 Years Old, Transient of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at approximately 9:23 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a report of a battery near the 800 block of BSNF Road. When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered that Pedro Pena had bit the victim, a BNSF Officer, causing injury.The Officer was treated at the Colorado River Medical Center for the injury.
Pena was consequently arrested for PC 243(C)(1) - Battery on a Police Officer and PC 602(O)(1) - Trespassing on Private Property. Pena was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking and remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $50,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
