Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are responding to a fatal traffic collision investigation. The incident was reported Thursday, July 14, 2022, at approximately 3:14 p.m., at the Central Avenue exit of the Westbound 105 Freeway.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Century Station were in vehicle pursuit of 4 door Kia, copper in color, for a vehicle driving recklessly and believed to be under the influence. The suspect vehicle exited the westbound 105 freeway on Central Avenue at a high rate of speed and struck a red vehicle.
The driver of the red vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
There is no additional information available at this time.
The traffic collision is being handled by California Highway Patrol along with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Traffic Services Detail.
