Deputies Arrest a Man in Possession of a Stolen Car After He Flees on Foot

INCIDENT: PC 496d(a) - Possession of a Stolen Vehicle / PC 148(a)(1) - Resisting a Peace Officer
LOCATION: Walker Street / Osbun Road, Highland CA
SUSPECT(S): Sattar Armstrong, 40-years-old, resident of San Bernardino CA
SUMMARY: On July 15, 2022, Deputy T. Strand with the Sheriff's Highland Station conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle reported stolen out of Redlands. The driver, Sattar Armstrong, ran from the vehicle. Armstrong jumped several fences and ran through several backyards. Highland and Central Station deputies established a perimeter and utilized the Sheriff's Aviation helicopter to aid in locating Armstrong. Several residents observed Armstrong running through the area and reported their observations to deputies. After an extensive search, Armstrong was found hiding under a vehicle.
Armstrong was arrested and booked at Central Detention Center for possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting a Peace Officer.
