INCIDENT: Felon In Possession of a Firearm, Stolen Firearm
LOCATION: 2300 block of North Hidden Lane, San Antonio Heights
SUSPECT: David Reyes, age 21, a resident of San Antonio Heights
SUMMARY: On Sunday, July 17, 2022, at about 3:29 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a subject with a gun in the 2300 block of North Hidden Lane, San Antonio Heights. The reporting party stated there was a person with a rifle and later added the person entered the residence. Due to an incident in another jurisdiction requiring additional resources, deputies from the Fontana Station, Central Station, and officers from both the Ontario and Upland Police Departments assisted on this call.
Law enforcement arrived and were able to safely contact David Reyes, a 21-year-old resident of San Antonio Heights. The rifle used in this incident was recovered at the scene and was later determined to be stolen from the city of Fontana.
Deputies determined Reyes had a previous felony conviction and was prohibited by law from possessing a firearm. Reyes was arrested and booked into West Valley Detention Center for carrying a loaded stolen firearm.
