INCIDENT: Inflicting Corporal Injury on a Spouse or Cohabitant, Obstructing/Resisting an Officer
LOCATION: 3700 block of American Elm Road, unincorporated Rialto
VICTIM: San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies / Confidential Female
SUSPECT: Tresean Crawford, a 26-year-old male resident of unincorporated Rialto
SUMMARY: On Sunday, July 17, 2022, at about 5:55 p.m., deputies responded to a battery which occurred in the 3700 block of American Elm Road, unincorporated Rialto.
Upon arrival, deputies determined Tresean Crawford, a 26-year-old male resident of the incident location, was in a relationship with the victim. During an argument, Crawford pushed the victim to the ground, punched her several times, and tased her. She suffered injuries as a result of the violent attack and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
Crawford resisted arrest and was violent towards deputies. After a struggle with deputies, Crawford was taken into custody. He was checked out at a local hospital, as a precaution, before being booked into the West Valley Detention Center for injury to a spouse or cohabitant and resisting or obstructing an Officer.
Two Deputy Sheriffs suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident but did not require professional medical treatment.
