Firearm Arrest

On 7/17/22 at approximately 7:00PM, Janesville Officers responded to a physical disturbance in the 2300 Block of Harvard Drive.  An officer attempted to detain a male, identified as Marquis Maier.  Maier tried to flee into an apartment.  An officer took Maier into custody after deploying their taser.
 
During the search of Maier, officers located a loaded firearm in his pocket.  He is currently on felony probation in Dane County for Burglary and Harboring/Aiding a Felon.
 
Maier was held at the Rock Country Jail for the following charges:
