NJ AM asks customers to voluntarily cut back on sprinkling the lawn, garden 
NJ AMERICAN WATER ASKS RESIDENTS TO VOLUNTARILY SWITCH TO ODDS AND EVENS DAYS WHEN WATERING LAWN.
The utility is asking customers to use an odd/even schedule for outdoor watering due to a planned maintenance outage at its Neptune water treatment plant and higher water demands.
How does it work? The utility said you should water outdoors on odd-numbered days of the month if your street address is an odd number, such as 23 Oak St. or 7 Maple Ave. Water your outdoor plants on even numbered days if your street address is an even number, such as 6 Oak St. or 354 Maple Ave.
