07/11/2022 @ 1530-1545. A man smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a bag containing a laptop computer, two hard drives, and ear phones from the front floorboard. #04369

500 block Westmount Drive

07/11/2022 @ 1700-2140. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing a laptop computer, headphones, and glasses from the backseat. #04375

07/12/2022 @ 1930-2200. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a briefcase containing a laptop computer, wallet, $200 cash, charger, and pens from the interior. #04479

07/13/2022 @ 2230. A man bumped the victim on his shoulder and the victim fell to the ground and dropped his cell phone and wallet. The suspect picked up the phone and wallet and got onto a bicycle and drove away. #04417

07/13/2022 @ 0900-1010. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and the rear passenger’s side window and removed a Louis Vuitton purse containing miscellaneous paperwork and a laptop bag containing books from the back seat. #04402

07/13/2022 @ 0930-1800. An unknown suspect smashed the rear windshield and removed a duffle bag containing clothing and a suitcase containing clothing and an IPad from the trunk. #04409

07/14/2022 @ 2100-0710. An unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from a 2006 Honda Element that was parked on the street. #04438

07/14/2022 @ 0418. A man cut a lock box that was hanging on the front door and removed a key. The suspect used the key to gain access to the building and removed a laptop computer, clothing, and a cell phone. #04424

07/14/2022 @ 1900-0800. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a tool bag containing miscellaneous tools from the rear floorboard. #04440

07/15/2022 @ 0200-0400. An unknown suspect used an unlocked front door to gain entry and removed a laptop computer from the bedroom. #04458

1200 block La Brea Avenue

07/15/2022 @ 1825. A man used a key fob to gain entry to an apartment. A relative of the rightful resident came to the unit and found the suspect inside and notified WHD. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #04461

Crescent Heights / Norton Avenue (Attempt)

07/15/2022 @ 0145. A man was walking NB on the east side of Crescent Heights Blvd when the suspect approached and demanded his property. The victim tried to pull away and was pushed to the ground. The suspect stomped on the victim’s head one time and then fled the area on foot. #04444

07/15/2022 @ 1450-1550. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a cell phone, three laptop computers, two pairs of headphones, three pairs of glasses, and 12 pairs of football cleats and miscellaneous equipment. #04452

07/16/2022 @ 1435. The victim met an acquaintance in the alley of the location to discuss a disagreement they had concerning Russian politics. Both parties began to fight and while fighting, the victim’s Apple watch was pulled from his wrist. #04477

Aggravated Assault - Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested)

1100 block Poinsettia Drive

07/17/2022 @ 1540. A man swung a wooden pole at the victim and made incoherent statements. The victim got into a vehicle for safety and the suspect hit the vehicle with the wooden pole. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #04505

07/17/2022 @ 1106. Two men bumped into an elderly woman and removed a wallet containing $800 cash from her purse. #04499

07/17/2022 @ 0000. The victim was walking on the sidewalk when the suspect bumped into her and removed a cell phone from her front pocket. #04500

07/17/2022 @ 0130. A man smashed a sky light and used a roof hatch to gain entry. The suspect disabled security cameras and searched an office but it’s unclear if anything was taken. #04491
