High Heat Expected Over the Next 5 Days - Community Center Hours Listed
The Cranford Office of Emergency Management is advising residents to limit their outdoor activity over the next several days as the heat index is expected to exceed 100 degrees.
Residents who would like a break from the heat are reminded that the Cranford Community Center at 220 Walnut Avenue is open Tuesday-Thursday from 8:30AM until 10:00PM and Friday from 08:30AM until 6:00PM.
REMINDERS:
Take these easy steps to avoid heat-related illness:
-Dress for the Weather - wear lightweight, light colored clothes.
-Stay Hydrated - drink plenty of water.
-Slow Down - reduce or avoid strenuous activity. -Check on elderly neighbors.
-Never leave children in a car!
-Call 9-1-1 if someone exhibits symptoms of Heat Stroke.

-Never leave your pet in a car!
WEATHER FORECAST:
Hot and humid conditions with heat index values in excess of 100 degrees will continue through Sunday.
A heat advisory is already in effect, and is expected to continue through the weekend.
