Due to recent power outages in the GPF area, the Public Safety Department has been made aware of scammers falsely identifying themselves as DTE representatives. Demands are made via telephone for immediate payment or else the power will be turned off. This is a scam.
If you suspect you are the target of an energy scam, contact DTE immediately at (800) 477-4747 or sign in to your account to confirm any online activity. Do not hand out any money or provide credit card information.
