* At 224 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 6 and 7 inches of rain have fallen over the last 3 hours. Additionally, law enforcement reports several structures underwater as well as people having to be rescued on NC 141 along Vengeance Creek just south of Marble. Flash flooding is ongoing. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Andrews, Murphy, Hayesville, Tusquitee, Marble, Topton and Shooting Creek.
