SUSPECT(S): Sergio Diaz Reyes, 28-year-old male resident of Adelanto

SUMMARY: On Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 1:24 a.m., a deputy from the Victorville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on an older model white BMW for a vehicle code violation.
During the traffic stop, the deputy conducted a search of the vehicle and located a Polymer 80 handgun, and a high-capacity magazine. The driver was identified as Sergio Diaz Reyes, a 28-year-old male resident of Adelanto.
Reyes was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for carrying a loaded firearm, altering a firearm identification, and carrying a high-capacity magazine. On July 15, 2022, Reyes was released on bail-bond.
