INCIDENT: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
LOCATION: Cottonwood Avenue and Mariposa Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Richard Herring Jr., 23-year-old resident of Hesperia
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Friday, July 15, 2022, at 2:20 a.m., Deputy A. Juarez from the Victorville Police Department was on patrol near Cottonwood Avenue and Mariposa Road in Victorville when he observed a vehicle performing a moving violation.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver, Richard Herring, was contacted and found to be under the influence of alcohol. The deputy conducted a field sobriety test and discovered his blood alcohol level was over the legal limit to drive.
Herring was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Herring was found to be on county probation for felony possession of a controlled substance for sale.
