INCIDENT: PC 187- Murder
LOCATION: 11400 Block of Arrowhead Road
SUSPECT(S): Anthony Falcon, 34-years-old, Resident of Victorville
VICTIM(S): Yvonne Martin, 69-years-old, Resident of Phelan
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 4:30 a.m., the reporting party returned home from work and called police after he was unable to locate his wife, Yvonne Martin. Responding deputies conducted a search and began the initial investigation but were unable to locate Martin. A records check revealed Martin was a protected person in a restraining order against her son, Anthony Falcon.
Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail arrived and assumed the investigation. Deputies learned Falcon was at a residence in the 4000 block of U.S. Highway 138 in Phelan and contacted him. After detectives interviewed Falcon, he was arrested for PC 187 – Murder. He remains in custody at the High Desert Detention Center without bail.
On July 21, 2022, Falcon’s vehicle, a silver 2004 Saturn Vue, was discovered in a remote desert area of Lancaster. Extensive searches have been conducted by ground and air units, but Martin has not been located. This investigation is ongoing.
