SUBJECT: Lewdness incident leads to arrest of Asbury Park man

LOCATION: Joe Palaia Park   
 
ACCUSED: Sergio Lopez- Sanchez 33 year old male of Asbury Park, NJ   
 
NARRATIVE:   On July 21^st 2022 at approximately 6:29 pm, the depicted male subject was arrested for lewdness, stemming from an incident which occurred within Joe Palaia Park on July 18^th 2022.  During that incident the male subject exposed himself to a female who was walking on a path in the park.  At the time of his arrest, the male subject was identified as Sergio Lopez- Sanchez of Asbury Park.  Investigation revealed that the male subject operates a white Ford work van.
 
Sergio Lopez- Sanchez was charged with Lewdness and Harassment.  He was processed at police headquarters and released on a criminal summons pending a future court appearance.

The Ocean Township Police Department would also like to remind township residents to remain vigilant at all times and always be aware of your surroundings in order to identify suspicious behavior and prevent potential criminal activity.
