INCIDENT: Murder Investigation
LOCATION: Bear Valley Road / Mall Boulevard, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Jeremy Franks, 23-year-old Apple Valley Resident
VICTIM(S): Brock Moore, 22-year-old Tehachapi Resident
SUMMARY: On Sunday, July 24, 2022, deputies with the Victorville Police Department responded to an assault with a weapon in the area of Bear Valley Road and Mall Boulevard. Upon their arrival, they found 22-year-old Brock Moore lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. Medical aid was rendered, and Moore was transported to a local hospital. Moore was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Jeremy Franks, had fled the scene. With the assistance of the California Highway Patrol, Franks was located in Barstow and taken into custody. Franks was booked at High Desert Detention Center for PC 187(A) – Murder.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division-Homicide Detail responded and are conducting the investigation. At this time, it appears the incident started over a road rage clash.
