* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York, including the following counties, in northeast New Jersey, Hudson and Union. In southeast New York, Kings (Brooklyn), Nassau, New York (Manhattan), Queens and Richmond (Staten Island).
* WHEN...Until 600 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 356 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jersey City, Jamaica, Elizabeth, Flatbush, Flushing, Bayonne, Linden, Valley Stream, Coney Island, Woodmere, Todt Hill, Great Neck, Crown Heights, The Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Kennedy Airport, Huguenot, Jackson Heights, Forest Hills, Canarsie and Bay Ridge. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
