Flood Watch until 02:00AM Wednesday

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east Tennessee, including the following areas, Anderson, Campbell, Claiborne, Grainger, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Morgan, Northwest Carter, Northwest Greene, Scott TN, Southeast Carter, Sullivan, Unicoi, Union and Washington TN. Portions of southwest Virginia, including the following areas, Lee, Russell, Scott VA, Washington VA and Wise.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roadway flooding is possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Areas of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rains will move across southwest Virginia, the northern Plateau, and northeast Tennessee through this evening. The ground across much of this area is saturated due to the recent heavy rainfall and the return of heavy rainfall may cause flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
