Narrative:
A lengthy investigation by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Major Crimes - Financial Crimes Unit leads to the arrest of Dana Hiscock Vines for eighteen (18) felony counts of grand theft.
Hiscock Vines was employed as the Operations Manager of Aviara Real Estate in 2007. Hiscock Vines was responsible for the financial business matters of Aviara Real Estate. Over time, Hiscock Vines used her position of trust as a long-term employee to embezzle money from Aviara Real Estate. She continued her criminal behavior until she was terminated by Aviara Real Estate on March 20, 2020, when her theft was uncovered by Aviara Real Estate.
Investigators believe Hiscock Vines stole just over one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) from Aviara Real Estate between July 13, 2012, and March 18, 2020. Hiscock Vines was arrested in Malibu at 08:00 AM on July 26, 2022.
Hiscock Vines was booked into the Pre Trial-Detention Facility. Hiscock Vines bail has been set at $80,000.00 dollars.
