July 26, 2022 – Fire Station 2 has been closed for the last several weeks due to the failure of the building air conditioning system. It has taken longer than anticipated for contractors to complete the repairs. Given the extreme heat, fire and EMS staff at Station 2 have been temporarily operating out of Station 1. The contractor performing the repairs is working to get the system operational as soon as possible. Once the system is operational, Station 2 will reopen and fire and EMS staff will transition from Station 1 back to Station 2. Fire and EMS staffing and response capabilities continue to operate at their normal levels while these necessary repairs are made.
