Temple Station Training/Road Closure Information
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Temple Station will be conducting a training exercise at Rosemead High School on Thursday, July 28, 2022, between the hours of 5:00 AM and 1:00 PM. The half-day exercise will simulate a multi-district, multi-jurisdiction, and multi-agency response to an active shooter situation at a high school campus.
The drill will include school officials, law enforcement, and firefighters/paramedics responding to the incident and mitigating the effects of the simulated attack. The exercise will include lights, sirens, sounds of live gunfire, explosions, Sheriff Helicopters, and members of the media.
Rosemead high school will not be in session and no students will be allowed on the campus. This notice is to make you aware and to serve as a notice to all residents/business owners in the immediate area regarding temporary street closures in your neighborhood. The closures will be as follows:
- Mission Drive, between Rosemead Boulevard and Encinita Avenue
- Intersection of Mission Drive and Newby Avenue
- Intersection of Mission Drive and Loma Avenue
