* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east Tennessee, including the following areas, Anderson, Campbell, Claiborne, Grainger, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Morgan, Northwest Carter, Northwest Greene, Scott TN, Sullivan, Union and Washington TN. Portions of southwest Virginia, including the following areas, Lee, Russell, Scott VA, Washington VA and Wise.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms will develop throughout the day. Moderate to heavy rainfall, combined with already saturated grounds, will increase the risk of flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
