SUBJECT:  Subject Arrested for Burglary to Township Facility

LOCATION: Township Pool Complex in Ocean Township      
 
ACCUSED:  Matthew Murphy 33 year old male of Tinton Falls, NJ  
 
NARRATIVE:   On July 26^th, 2022 at approximately 8:21 am officers were dispatched to the Township Pool Complex on West Park Avenue for a report of a burglary that had occurred during the overnight hours.  This was the third reported burglary that had occurred over the past few weeks at this location.  Surveillance cameras had been installed and captured the suspect on video entering the building and removing cash.  Detectives Clune and Rhein responded and processed the scene. 
     Later in the day, officers conducted a motor vehicle stop and observed the suspect from the video inside the vehicle.  The suspect was identified as Matthew Murphy.  Murphy was arrested on unrelated charges and transported to headquarters for processing.  Murphy was ultimately charged with Burglary and Theft.  He was released on a summons pending an initial court appearance.
