The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Alleghany VA County in west central Virginia... Southwestern Bath County in west central Virginia... East Central Greenbrier County in southeastern West Virginia...

* Until 700 PM EDT Wednesday.

* At 1254 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Neola... Renick... Falling Spring... Alvon... Rorer... Beartown State Park... Natural Well... This includes the following streams and drainages... Brushy Lick, Dunlap Creek, Anthony Creek, Boggs Run, Falling Spring Creek, Cove Run, Cedar Creek, Back Creek, Big Run, Fleming Run, Greenbrier River and Coles Run.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ALLEGHANY, VA ... BATH, VA ... GREENBRIER, WV
