Flood Watch until 02:00PM Thursday

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following areas, Lee, Russell, Scott VA, Washington VA and Wise.

* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and storms have developed across the watch area and will continue through late morning into the early afternoon. Additional rainfall on top of already saturated grounds will pose a risk for flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
