On Friday, July 29th, from approximately 7 pm until 5 am, the intersection of Boulevard and Pocono Road will be closed and completely impassable to all traffic for resurfacing. This should cause significant disruption to the normal flow of traffic. All are encouraged to avoid the area if possible and plan accordingly. The following road closures and detours will be in place, with officers available to assist:
ALL TRAFFIC FROM ROUTE 46:
For eastbound traffic, the left turn only lane on Route 46 East and Boulevard will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to Lackawanna Avenue, where they can make a u-turn and enter from Crane Road.
For westbound traffic, access can be made from Intervale Road or Crane Road. For those trying to go to Saint Clares in Denville, access can be made from downtown Denville.
SOUTHBOUND TRAFFIC ON BOULEVARD:
A road closure will be in place at Boulevard and Crane Road. Traffic trying to access Route 46 can turn left onto Crane, make a right at the three-way intersection with Morris, which will access Route 46 West.
For southbound traffic trying to access Saint Clare's Hospital or Denville, make a right onto North Crane Road, a left onto East Shore Road and a right onto North Pocono.
EASTBOUND TRAFFIC ON NORTH POCONO:
A road closure will be in place at East Shore Road. Access to Boulevard can be made by turning left onto East Shore and then making a right onto North Crane.
We know this will be a inconvenience and we appreciate your patience. Officers will be in place throughout the evening to assist if needed. Please be cautious if you need to be driving in the area for construction workers and heavy equipment accessing the work site.
