I know there is a good deal of talk on the street about our Stop and Shop supermarket planning to close. If this does happen, it will be a big loss to our walkable town.
I want you to know that I am in contact with the corporate offices of Stop and Shop in Massachusetts, in order to ascertain all the facts and options. These discussions are ongoing. As soon as I have final information on this situation I will share it with you.
I will do everything I can to find a positive solution to this situation.
It is one of my highest priorities to make sure we have a grocery store in town.
