COVID-19 data continues to show the spread of the virus in our community but at numbers far below last winter’s Omicron surge.  This data also proves that the vaccines remain remarkably effective in keeping vaccinated persons out of the hospital despite the near dominance of more virulent variants. 
 
The mostly good summer weather has kept sidewalk and roundabout projects moving forward and we will soon see the start of the construction of the Town’s new ambulance station at the entrance of the Town golf course.  With August nearly here, the last week of the Town’s popular summer camp program is next week.   The upcoming two weeks are full of summer activities, including musical performances, National Night Out, and the return of the Altamont Fair.
