Flood Advisory until 07:00PM Friday

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of north central New Mexico, including the following counties, Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Sandoval and Santa Fe.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 354 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Los Alamos, Espanola, Cuba, Youngsville, Fenton Lake State Park, Abiquiu, Regina, Velarde, Coyote, Buena Vista, La Jara, Medanales, Chili, Hernandez, Chamita, Alcalde, La Villita and Lyden. - This includes the following highways... Highway 550 between Mile Markers 54 and 77. Highway 285 between Mile Markers 337 and 345. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
