Over 1000 Pounds of Marijuana Seized at Local Business 
On 07-28-2022, Detectives of the Special Investigations Unit responded to “Exotic Motorsports Collision Center” at 4610 E. Los Angeles Ave. Investigators from VENCATT (Ventura County Auto Theft Task Force) and deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office were at the scene conducting a stolen vehicle investigation.
During their investigation they smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from one of the buildings on the property.
SIU Detectives initiated an investigation into the possible illegal marijuana grow and served a search warrant on the property. The results of the search warrant yielded over one thousand pounds of marijuana (a street value of over one million dollars) along with a complex growing operation that spanned two stories of the building.
The investigation into the grow operation, as well as the business is ongoing.
