INCIDENT: Possession of Shuriken and Violation of Probation
LOCATION: W. Needles Hwy and O St., Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Joseph Vasquez, 28 Years-Old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Monday, August 1, 2022 at approximately 1:28 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department contacted Joseph Vasquez during a pedestrian check. During the investigation, Vasquez was found to be on active felony probation. During a probation search, Vasquez was found to be in possession of an illegal metal weapon.
Vasquez was consequently arrested for PC 22410, Possession of a Shuriken and PC 1203.2 - Violation of Probation. Vasquez was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking and remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with no bail, awaiting a court hearing.
