Various Routes in Southwest Missouri Scheduled for Pavement Improvements Beginning the Week of August 15
 
Christian, Newton, Taney & Webster Counties – A project to add a high-friction pavement treatment to selected curves on various routes in Christian, Newton, Taney and Webster Counties is scheduled the week of August 15, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Short sections of road will receive a special pavement treatment to help improve traction at curves.
Drivers can expect lane closings and flaggers where crews are working. I-44 nighttime lane closings can be expected between 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. Monday - Thursday, August 15 - 18. The remaining routes, lane closings can be expected between 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday beginning Friday, August 19.
Here’s a look at the project:

• I-44 between mile marker 5 and 6 west of Missouri Route 43/86 in Joplin
  • I-44 nighttime lane closings can be expected between 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. Monday - Thursday, August 15 - 18
• U.S. Route 60 just west of Webster County Route U in Fordland
• U.S. Route 160 between Missouri Route 176 in Merriam Woods and Silver Creek Road east of Merriam Woods
• Missouri Route 14 between Carroll Road and Hilltop Court west of Nixa
• Missouri Route 76 between Missouri Route 125 and Cedar Hollow Road west of Bradleyville
• Missouri Route 76 at Missouri Route K in Kirbyville
• Missouri Route 76 between Taney Country Route VV and MM east of Kirbyville
• Lane closings, excluding I-44, can be expected between 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday beginning Friday, August 19
