Investigation into Burglary at a Crestline Christian Camp Ends in the Arrest of Three Suspects

SUSPECT(S): Patrick Stoops, a 38-year-old resident of Crestline
Ian McCann, a 29-year-old resident of Crestline
John Fridley, a 67-year-old resident of Crestline
VICTIM(S): Thousand Pines Christian Camp
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Station was contacted referencing a burglary at the Thousand Pines Christian Camp. Multiple items were stolen from a room at the camp, with an total estimated loss of $1,200 dollars. Video surveillance captured the theft, and a suspect was identified. The investigation continued, and deputies authored a search warrant for a residence.
On Sunday, July 31, 2022, deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Station served a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Forest Circle, in the community of Valley of Enchantment. During the service of the search warrant, several subjects were contacted, including Patrick Stoops, Ian McCann, and John Fridley. While searching the residence, stolen property from the burglary was recovered, and the theft suspect was identified as Patrick Stoops. Deputies also located methamphetamine, fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia.
Patrick Stoops was arrested and booked at Central Detention Center on the charges of PC 459, burglary, PC 496(a), possession of stolen property, and HS 11350(a), possession of narcotics. He is currently being held in lieu of $25,000 bail. Ian McCann was arrested and booked into Central Detention Center for HS 11364(a), possessing drug paraphernalia. John Fridley was arrested and cited for HS 11377(a), possessing a controlled substance.
